How we approach pain
Every pain plan starts with a careful evaluation. We ask where the pain is, how long you have had it, what makes it better or worse, and how it affects your daily life. We review past imaging and records and order new tests when needed.
Treatment is tailored to you and may combine several of the following:
- Medication management, with regular monitoring and safety checks
- Referrals for physical therapy, chiropractic care or interventional procedures
- Imaging, such as X-rays, to understand joint and spine problems
- Coordination with our mental health team when pain is affecting mood or sleep
- Home exercise, activity and lifestyle guidance
Injured in a car accident?
Pain after an accident is not always immediate. Whiplash and back injuries often show up hours or days later. An early evaluation helps your recovery and creates a medical record of your injuries. Bring your claim number and the insurance details from the accident to your visit.
Common questions
Do I need a referral?
Many plans do not require one, but some HMO plans do. Call us with your insurance card and we will check.
What should I bring to my first pain visit?
Photo ID, insurance card, a list of your medications, and any recent imaging reports or records from other doctors.
Will I be prescribed pain medication?
It depends on your condition. Medication is one part of a plan, and any controlled medication comes with regular monitoring and an agreement on safe use.
